Thanks to Jim, I happened across some nice video of a “stinky” problem at Paul Davidson's house (former co-worker). I immediately criticized the video because he could've easily done a much better job of the camera work, but he's not good at things like this.. so can we really blame him? I'm not really sure what he's good at truthfully (except for climbing around in rafters pulling cable).
Regardless, check it out if you get a free moment. It's mildly entertaining.

This is for gearheads only! I stumbled across this incredible video while reading this article at Autoblog. This thing is wildly impressive.
Imagine a 2,000 HP street legal car that can be dialed back to “only” a 1000 HP for pump fuel (street) cruising.
“The video shows what happens when 522 cubes of big-block Chevy
are subjected to 10 PSI or so of boost and stuffed into a classic
Pontiac LeMans. We’re going to warn our readers that a bit of rowdy
driving occurs past the half-way point, so if you’re easy upset by
hot-testing a rev limiter on public streets, it’s probably best to skip
to the next post. On the other hand, if you want to see what happens
when 1000 HP is applied in 3rd gear at 20 MPH, by all means roll the
clip and prepare to receive some goose bumps. Polite words fail to
accurately describe such a diabolic creation. Note, too, just how mild
mannered this thing is when driving at sane speeds.”

Normally, embroidery is a topic I wouldn't normally discuss with anyone. It's a fairly mundane and well… worthless topic of discussion for the most part. Recently however, one of our sister companies, Scrubshopper.com (a leading retailer of medical scrubs), made a very fascinating and expensive purchase.
The machine in question is a Tajima embroidery machine capable of re-creating almost and picture, text, or design imaginable on a piece of cloth. This thing is not only fascinating to watch, but spits out some darned impressive results. The machine requires several days training for the operators to understand how to use it's complex functionality, but once complete.. the results are pretty amazing.
Anyways, us Eponym guys found ourselves in their building watching this machine for a while the other day and I decided to shoot some footage of this “robot” in action.
They also set me up a nice 10% off coupon for all of you! Just go to http://www.scrubshopper.com and enter the coupon code “dustin” (without the quotes) when you are finishing the order.
Meanwhile, Click Here to check out this amazing machine in action!

My mouth hung open for a bit after I watched this video (courtesy of wearetheweb.org) I mean, it's so honkin' strange, that I was sorta caught off-guard. It takes quite a bit to surprise me lately, but this thing did.
The issue at hand is net neutrality: “Net neutrality is the principle that Internet users
should be in control of what content they view and what applications
they use on the Internet.”
It has the potential to seriously disrupt how the Internet operates and change the way the world views the web.
So what's the purpose of the video? You are the Internet. So are your friends. Show your support for Internet neutrality by passing along the link to this video here (or anywhere you see it). The more exposure this issue get's, the better. Remember, taking action can make a difference! Plus, the video is oddly entertaining.
It's a serious issue, so if you have a second, check it out by Clicking Here.

So there we were: Memorial Day, nothing to do, visiting the family in Illinois.
My cousin Blake, who is an avid gun collector (little to my knowledge), offers up the oppurtunity to shoot several fairly well-known guns of differing types. In the ensuing mayham, I captured a short clip of my soon-to-be-wife shooting an AK-47 and a 9mm pistol.
I just thought I'd share the footage with you since it's fairly entertaining.
I found it funny how the AK-47 threw her back on the first shot and how the ejected shell casing of the 9mm scared her. Truthfully though, I was pretty proud of her. She did really well considering it was only her second foray into gun shooting (the first was clay pigeon shooting with a 12 gauge).

Here is another example of a poor newscaster fumbling with words and simply making a hilarious situation. I can't help but wonder if she was thinking about the topic before-hand or if it was something else coming up… what on earth made her say that?
Regardless, it's funny that she slipped up in that way. I hope she didn't lose her job over it. Even more than that, I hope the “blind” man who actually climbed Mt. Everest didn't get overly teased by his friends over it.
Note: In no way am I poking fun at homosexuality, so please don't be offended. It's a funny video.. so laugh.

Uh, no. Please stop. Do NOT watch this video. If you do, you will be forced to watch a fading actor in all his glory asking random girls to “jump in my car”. David, come on man, shame on you.
Here's the low-down: “The one and only David Hasselhoff of 'Bay Watch' and 'Knight Rider' fame returns with a cover of the
1975 classic 'Jump In My Car' and its a doozy. Recorded in
Sydney last year with the legendary Harry Vanda (AC/DC, The Angels),
the Ted Mulry Gang tune has been re-vamped with full Hoff gusto and
this music video promises to rock the socks off all his Hofficial fans.”

Saw this on Gizmodo a few days back.
We are looking at the all new Beretta Xtrema2 Shotgun. This amazing new product is the first shotgun I've seen that dramatically reduces recoil. I've been known to shoot a bit of clay in my day and this thing surely would help to ease the shoulder pains a bit and I can see it really helping with accuracy.
OK, so you are thinking.. what's the big deal? The big deal is what the shooter in the demo video does with this gun. The main thing I noticed is no pumping is needed, this baby is semi-auto. The gun the demo shooter is using has been modified with an extended magazine allowing him to put a lot more shells in there than is normally legal (at least where I grew up). Also, it appears that he is using a custom weakened load that is quieter and probably easier to shoot with.
Regardless, I'm still impressed. At one point he throws 10 clay pigeons in the air and takes them all out. WOW!

MSRP is $1,498 – $1,598. More information about the gun available here.

I have always been fascinated by extreme weather events.
When most kid's were hiding under the bed in a thunderstorm, I was out playing in the rain. When a tornado siren alarmed in my neighborhood, I ran full speed out the door and climbed a tree so I could spot the funnel. A few months ago, while driving through Texas, we were hit by a fantastically powerful hailstorm; I kept driving hoping to have some hail bust my windshield, just for the story.
I am a weather fanatic.. which is why I enjoy this movie so much. That piece of hail is gigantic. I do feel sorry for his poor rental car though, that thing is trashed!

This video is perhaps one of the funniest video's I've seen on the web in a while. I think what I find so entertaining is that this kid is totally oblivious to his brother (or whomever has the camera) taping him through a hole in his door.
I like that this isn't some skit that was fake, this kid was definitely unaware of the camera. It's also entertaining because I would wager that almost everyone has done this very same thing at some point (to a lesser or greater extent) behind closed doors. I love it when he see's himself in the mirror and starts acting all crazy (which is also mildly ironic because the song is called Crazy).
On a side note: after watching this video, I've decided I actually really like this song (Crazy). These types of videos may be a really good way to get your song out there in the public eye; get some silly kid to dance to it in his bedroom with a stuffed animal and the world will listen.

Craig Cannon has been known as the stead-fast and confident news anchor on our local news channel (ABC) here in
NW Arkansas for quite some time now. Unfortunately, I think this little slip-up may turn him into an internet joke.
Don't get me wrong, losing a dental bridge while you're on the air isn't really anyone's fault… but it's still sorta gross… and I'm not easily grossed out either. Mostly though, it's simply comical. I don't know if this video is really gonna take off on the net' or not, but I know it's a hit on eBaum'sWorld… so it does have some clout.
I actually sorta feel sorry for the guy. He has probably spent the last 20 – 30 years of his life perfecting his on-air skills, only to have something like that happen and get blasted all over the internet. Stuff like that can ruin a career… or make you famous! As I've written this article, I've become more and more proud of this humble man. Keep up the good work Craig Cannon! On a side note: isn't that just a perfect news anchor name? It reminds me of the movie Anchorman.. just the name alone.
Whew.. rambling. Anyways, enjoy this clip of Craig Cannon and respect him for handling it so professionally and laughing about it.

I really thought I stayed on top of the latest phenomenon's on the web here lately… but somehow I totally missed the Coke + Mentos video outbreak.
If you haven't seen it, the basic idea is Mentos & Coke (or any other soda with CO2 in it) creates a strong reaction that makes a huge “fountain” of soda out of the bottle.
I can't quite figure what makes this so popular to try out. I mean it is mildy entertaining, but why would hundreds of people take the time to do it on their own and post the video to the net? An even more important question is why am I posting about it? I truthfully don't know.

The lead host in this short clip is from my favorite show, Top Gear!
Anyways, what we have here is a short yet fascinating tale of how highly reactive alkali elements are exciting and dangerous to play around with. Get your chemistry thinking-cap on as we prepare to blow some stuff up.

This video is a little bit unreal. It's simply amazing how many aircraft FedEx has and how they are all routed around the thunderstorm in this video. It's funny to think that these little black dots are in fact huge aircraft moving at hundreds of miles per hour.. but here they just look like little ants. The music doesn't help things any.

I'm not a big fan of giving free advertising, but I have to give props to Sony for this commercial.
Here's a snippet from the Official Sony Bravia Site:
“When you're introducing the next generation of television, you want
to make an impact – but that doesn't mean you have to shout at the top
of your voice. And it doesn't mean you have to be predictable. To
announce the arrival of the BRAVIA LCD and 3LCD range, we wanted to get
across a simple message – that the colour you'll see on these screens
will be 'like no other'.
Sending 250,000 multi-coloured
'superballs' bouncing down the streets of San Francisco may seem the
strangest way to do this, but that's exactly what Danish director
Nicolai Fuglsig did for the BRAVIA commercial in July this year. San
Franciscans have seen some unusual things in their time, but even this
gave them something to talk about. And we've got the feeling that this
commercial is going to do exactly the same thing.”
